Georgia 8-year-old's random act of kindness earns praise around the world

Posted

An 8-year-old Georgia boy's random act of kindness was caught on video earlier this week.

WSB-TV reports that Maurice Adams Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia — located about 100 miles southeast of Atlanta — asked his mother if he could help an elderly woman up the steps while his family was returning from his sister's graduation.

The video of Maurice's good deed was originally shared by Riley Duncan in a neighborhood Facebook group on Tuesday. That post has been shared nearly 20,000 times as of Thursday morning. Since that first post, Maurice's story has been told around the world.

"It's touching. It's very touching," Contricia Hill, Adams' mother, told WSB. "(It just shows) respect and raising your kids right goes a long way."
