NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) - National City Police want to return a large amount of recently-discovered cash to its rightful owner.
The missing money was impounded by officers at the start of the month. The department is now looking for the person who lost it.
National City officers are not releasing the amount of the sum because the information will be used to find the owner. They are also not announcing where police discovered the cash.
The department's Property and Evidence Unit is prepared to accept a high volume of calls at 619-336-4447. Callers must be ready to provide their name, phone number, date the cash was lost, and the dollar amount of the money.
