JAMACHA – Two drivers were seriously injured after a Mustang struck a truck and then rolled down an embankment Tuesday morning in the east San Diego County community of Jamacha.
The collision occurred at about 7:36 a.m. at the intersection of Jamacha and Grove roads.
According to California Highway Patrol, a black Mustang was racing another car when it crashed into a white truck that was making a turn. The collision sent the Mustang smashing through a brick wall, down an approximately 30-foot embankment and into the backyard of a home.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, CHP said. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
CHP is investigating.
