VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Several people were taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning after a high-speed pursuit ended in a crash in Vista.
California Highway Patrol officials said a car was speeding on E. Vista Way, near Gopher Canyon Road, at around 2:15 a.m. with its high beams on and nearly against the bumper of a CHP patrol car.
When the CHP sergeant attempted to pull the car over, it sped away towards state Route 76.
The car went through a red light on Old River Road at SR-76 and struck two vehicles before coming to a stop.
At least three people were hospitalized due to the crash.
The driver was arrested and was being investigated for possible DUI.
