SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A motorcyclist was hospitalized Saturday night after suffering life-threatening injuries following a crash.
The crash happened on the 805 near Market Street around 9:25 p.m. Saturday. The 42-year-old man was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Market Street when a 25-year-old in a Kia Optima tuned onto Market Street from the northbound 805 off-ramp.
Authorities say the motorcyclist tried to stop by laying down his motorcycle and sliding into the car.
The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening head and face injuries.
Drugs and alcohol are not being considered factors in the crash, police said.
