SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a big rig truck on Harbor Drive, near Naval Base San Diego.
The crash was reported shortly before 5:45 a.m. on Harbor Drive, in an area near Naval Base San Diego's gate on 32nd Street, according to dispatchers.
Police said the truck was making a left turn into a facility when an oncoming motorcycle crashed into it at a high rate of speed.
The male motorcyclist died at the scene.
The wreck prompted police to close lanes on Harbor Drive, from 8th Street to Vesta Street.
