Marine Corps mom welcomes future aviators

Posted

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. (KGTV) - A Marine Corps mom is one of the women being celebrated at the 2018 Miramar Air Show.

Captain Alisa Sieber is a C-130 pilot. She is also a wife and mother to a two-year-old, with another child on the way.

Sieber fell in love with aviation during a trip Miramar while in high school. She received the NROTC scholarship giving her a full ride to University of San Diego, where she earned an engineering degree.

Finding work and life balance is key, says Sieber, especially with the help of a strong support system.

She hopes to inspire young girls and kids coming to the Air Show, who may also find aviation as their passion and career.

You can get a tour of the C-130 plane during the Miramar Air Show.
