SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Mayor Kevin Faulconer and Jewish leaders celebrated the second night of Hanukkah Monday, lighting the second candle of a massive Menorah outside City Hall.

As the second night of the Jewish Festival of Lights got underway, Rabbi Zalman Carlebach said it was important for leaders to show their support and celebrate in light of recent anti-Semetic incidents around the U.S.

"In light of the current events that are happening around the country, this world could use some more light. America could use some more light," said Rabbi Carlebach.

San Diego has numerous Menorah lighting events planned as well as other celebrations throughout the county as Hanukkah continues — running through Dec. 10. Check out where to celebrate in San Diego here.
