SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A San Diego Police officer escaped injury when a driver reportedly tried to run him over Sunday morning.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. near the intersection of F and Sixth Streets in the Gaslamp district.
The officer was able to jump off his bicycle, which was dragged beneath the suspect’s vehicle. Police say the driver ditched his car and fled the scene.
Police said Sunday that they are still searching for the suspect.
No description of the suspect or suspect vehicle were given.
