EAST VILLAGE (CNS) - A fight broke out in San Diego's East Village Saturday night and involved about a dozen people, and in the middle of it a woman stabbed a man several times, police said Sunday.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the melee, which was at 8:56 p.m. in the 400 block of 10th Avenue, San Diego police officer Robert Heims said.
"There was a fight between 10 and 15 people in which the victim and suspect were both involved,'' Heims said. "A woman stabbed a man in the right side three times with a knife.''
The suspect was described by police as a Hispanic woman, 20, 5 feet-5 inches tall and weighing about 210 pounds. She had straight, shoulder-length brown hair and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, and was last seen walking north on 10th Avenue, Heims said.
San Diego Police Central Division detectives were investigating.
