Man killed in Oceanside stabbing

OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- Police are searching for a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old Hispanic man in Oceanside overnight Tuesday.
 
At around midnight, Oceanside police responded to a reported stabbing in a church parking lot in the 1500 block of Lemon Street to find a man with a stab wound who was going in and out of consciousness. The victim was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla with critical injuries. He passed away before 5 a.m. His name was not immediately released. 
 
Oceanside police are investigating a reported disturbance prior to the stabbing. No suspects have been identified.
