SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are trying to piece together what led to a man's death on an Old Town sidewalk early Saturday.
Police said they received the call around 2 a.m. of an injured person in the 4500 block of Pacific Coast Highway. Officers arrived to find the man lying on the sidewalk with lacerations and trauma to his upper body.
San Diego Fire-Rescue paramedic arrived to give first aid, but the man died of his injuries.
The man's identity is not yet known and a suspect description was not immediately released. Homicide detectives were on scene Saturday investigating.
Pacific Coast Highway will be closed until 9 a.m. Saturday for authorities to investigate.
