California ranked 49th for average gas prices, 47th for road quality and 42nd for the share of rush-hour traffic.
To determine the most driver-friendly states, WalletHub compared all 50 states against 30 key metrics. The data ranges from average gas prices to road quality and share of rush-hour traffic.
The Golden State also poorly on the list for auto-maintenance costs and car theft rate.
