SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating the death of a young woman, whose body was found inside her RV in Bay Ho, and how it might be tied to a suicide the day before.

On Sunday, crime tape surrounded a section of the Santa Fe Park RV Resort 12 hours after police received a 911 call.

San Dieo police detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, with the possibility the incident is connected to a suicide.

"They kind of seemed fine to me, walking their puppy," one resident said of the couple who lived in the RV.

The resident said nothing seemed out of the ordinary about the couple, but investigators told a very different story.

Officers arrived at the Santa Fe Park RV Resort after getting a welfare check request around 12 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the caller told 911 operators that they visited the woman's RV to tell her that her boyfriend had committed suicide by jumping off the Coronado Bridge on Saturday.

The caller said the woman was not answering her phone or knocks on her front door.

Later, SDPD officers arrived and found the body of a Hispanic woman in her 20s with signs of upper-body trauma.

"They couldn't fit the gurney through the door, so it looked like she was brought out with a bedsheet," the neighbor said. "It was white and there was quite a bit of blood all over."

It was a tragic sight the neighbor said she wishes she had never witnessed.

It isn't clear how or when the woman died. Investigators are trying to verify the caller's story and looking into the woman's possible connection to the Coronado Bridge jumper.

10News learned that the victim's parents were notified of her death and are on their way to pick up her car.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the SDPD Homicide Unit at 619-531-2293.
