SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego lifeguards rescued a woman from fast-moving water near City Heights amid a storm Thursday.

A bystander heard the woman calling for help about 10 a.m. along Auburn Creek, northeast of Interstate 805 and State Route 94. The witness ran for help, and found someone to call 911.

The woman fell in the creek and was carried by the rushing water. She suffered cuts but managed to climb to safety.
