CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - Emergency crews rescued a man and woman who fell off a cliff in Carlsbad late Thursday night.
According to authorities, the pair were sitting on a cliffside near Carlsbad Boulevard when the man fell a few feet down. The man was able to climb up, but the woman, who had fallen about 20 feet down, was unable to move.
Responding crews scaled down the cliff to get to the woman, who reportedly suffered a back injury.
The pair were taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital for treatment, but both are expected to be OK.
10News learned state park investigators are looking into the possibility the cliff collapsed and caused the man and woman to fall.
