POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) - Neighbors in Poway have noticed unusual activity at the former home of Padres legend Tony Gwynn.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department says in the past few weeks they’ve received nearly a half dozen calls about trespassers at the address on Boulder Ridge Lane.

Neighbors say they thought it was odd to see lights turned on at a home that was supposed to be empty.

Bad investments forced Gwynn to file for bankruptcy in 1987. In June 2018, four years after his death, the house went into an auction for more than $2 million but didn’t sell.

10News reached out to the company managing the company and is waiting to hear back.
