CHULA VISTA, Calif. (CNS) - A water-main break prompted closures of businesses and traffic lanes Tuesday in a South Bay commercial district.
The pipeline failure at Park Way and Third Avenue in Chula Vista was reported in the late morning.
The mishap forced the proprietors of five nearby businesses to temporarily close their doors to the public, according to city officials, who advised motorists to avoid the area pending repairs.
Utility crews with Sweetwater Authority expected to have water service restored to the area by about 9 p.m., city officials advised.
