CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — Three people were hospitalized, including one good Samaritan, after a fire broke out at a Chula Vista mobile home on Monday.

The fire broke out at about 8:30 p.m. at a home on Otay Lakes Rd., just west of State Route 125, according to the Chula Vista Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived at the mobile home to find it engulfed in flames.

One person inside the home was able to escape, but a second person was trapped inside. That's when the two neighbors jumped into action to help get the person out of the home.

Three people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, including one of the good Samaritans.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation on Tuesday.
