CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — South Bay police are searching for the person responsible for damaging at least 20 vehicles overnight Thursday.

Chula Vista Police say they were called early Thursday to the 1000 block of Guatay Avenue over several vehicles with slashed tires.

Officers ended up finding at least 20 vehicles with "either some or all their tires slashed" parked on the street and in driveways, on Guatay Avenue, Inkopah Street, Helix Avenue, and Cuyamaca Avenue, according to CVPD.

At least one vehicle was possibly keyed or scratched as well, police added. Damages are still being calculated, but police said it's likely at least several thousand dollars.

CVPD asks anyone with information to call the department at 619-691-5151 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
