(KGTV) - MANA de San Diego is playing a pivotal role in the development of Latina women.

The group assists women through their entire lives, starting in childhood, according to director Sofia Salgado.

Most of the group’s members come from Chula Vista. Mayor Mary Casillas Salas was the president in the 90s and cites MANA de San Diego for inspiring her to finish college and run for office, Salgado said.
