SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Two people were arrested after San Diego police said one of them fired several rounds from a vehicle at undercover detectives in Barrio Logan.
The incident was reported at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday as SDPD Vice Unit detectives were working in the 3500 block of Main Street, near the Main Street Motel.
According to police, the gunshots -- which did not strike any officers or bystanders -- were fired from the inside of a black Chrysler 300 that then sped away and headed south.

Police and California Highway Patrol units tracked the car and pulled it over on westbound state Route 905 near Britannia Boulevard in Otay Mesa.
A man and a woman exited the car and were taken into custody.
Police believed a third person was inside the car, but the vehicle was empty following a search.
Officers also searched the area where the shooting took place for a possible third person involved, but no other arrests were made.
Tuesday night's shooting was the second in as many days involving San Diego police. On Monday, in Logan Heights, two officers exchanged gunfire with a suspect under I-15 freeway.
