CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) — Coronado Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of an 18-year-old Coronado High School student this month.
Police say a 17-year-old male was arrested in Chula Vista after police served three search warrants with the help of Chula Vista Police SWAT, National City Police, Harbor Police SWAT, and SDSU Police.
The suspect is being charged with attempted homicide, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon, police added. Additional charges are pending as well.

The victim, identified as Jacob McKanry, was shot on May 4 near Orange Avenue and 10th Street in Coronado while meeting up with two men to complete an online jewelry sale.
During the meet up, McKanry was robbed and shot in the back. One more suspect is still being sought for the shooting.
The two men suspected in the incident were both described as Hispanic and in their 20's. One of the men has a heavy build, curly dark hair and was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and baggy pants. A description of the other man is unclear, as he was reportedly seen by witnesses removing his clothing. It wasn't immediately clear which suspect was arrested.
