SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- With toilet paper a hot commodity and in short supply across the country, some people have become so desperate they have resorted to stealing toilet paper rolls from public bathrooms.
The Vons grocery store on Regents Road in University City has become a frequent target of TP seekers, with thieves constantly taking rolls from the store's public restrooms.
To combat the roll thefts in their bathrooms, management closed their restrooms to the public.
10News spotted a sign on the bathroom doors that read: “Bathrooms are CLOSED due to the continual theft of our toilet paper.”
