SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police said they’ve questioned a man who was seen on video in a confrontation with a woman in Pacific Beach over the weekend.
Several residents said the unidentified man has gone door to door, claiming to be collecting money for a cause. However, residents told 10News the man became angry after they declined to donate.
On Monday, a 10News viewer spotted the man and recognized him from an incident in Pacific Beach that was captured on video and went viral on social media. The viewer called San Diego police.

Video provided by the viewer showed officers placing the man in handcuffs in the 4100 block of Taos Drive in Clairemont. Police confirmed officers made contact with the man, questioned him, and then let him go.
No other details were released by police.
Several people in San Diego’s coastal communities told 10News their encounters with the man resulted in intense confrontations. They are worried the confrontations could escalate and are warning neighbors not to answer their doors if they see the man.
