SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Road rage may have been partially to blame after a vehicle ended up on top of a fence in City Heights early Wednesday.
A driver traveling on University Avenue near Interstate 805 at about 12:30 a.m. told 10News he came up to another car driving slowly so he passed him. The driver said this angered the other driver, who started chasing him for about a mile down University Ave., eventually clipping the rear end of his vehicle.
That's when the car lost control, hit a tree, and launched into the metal fence of a City Heights business near 39th Street and University Ave. The car landed on its side, trapping the man inside.
Firefighters were called to pull the man from the wreckage. He was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Police were still questioning the drivers to see if any charges would be filed.
