SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Mayor Kevin Faulconer announces a round of funding aimed at improving San Diego parks, assist in dockless scooter enforcement and other city needs.
According to the mayor’s office, at least $6 million in additions to the proposed 2020 city budget will also be set aside for mobility upgrades, tree planting and housing incentives.
Additionally, $9.3 million that had been earmarked for the Plaza de Panama project will be directed by Faulconer to a fund that will go towards improvements at Balboa Park.
With our revisions to the FY2020 budget, we're making strategic additions that focus on improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods. We’re also going to make sure dollars set aside for Balboa Park will stay in the park and go toward worthy projects. https://t.co/WdUwAfNDMu pic.twitter.com/97bax1boTp
