SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Creating a business can be difficult and pitching your product in front of a room full of sharks can be intimidating. But that’s exactly what Noel Durity is doing on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank Sunday.

Durity’s road into the tank wasn’t easy.

“I got rejected three times,” Durity said.

But he didn’t let rejection stop him and decided to audition again.

“When I got denied the first time, I was like 'no, I’m not gonna quit,'” said Durity.

Durity, a former real estate broker turned entrepreneur, has no experience in the hair industry. The idea for his product developed out of necessity after he became tired of using a tennis racket on his hair to style it.

So, he decided to create a smaller version of a tennis racket. His model is stainless steel, reusable, and washable as well.

According to Durity, the company has made over $500,000 since it launched two years ago and the demand continues to grow.

Durity admits he still has a lot to learn when it comes to growing a business, but believes anything is possible when you focus and never give up.

“You have to have some type of belief in yourself, like this is going to happen,” said Durity.

Watch Noel Durity on ABC's Shark Tank Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC10.
