(KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a man accused of inappropriately touching women at several stores throughout San Diego County.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, all three incidents happened from December 18 through the 24.

The first incident occurred on December 18 at the Target on the 1700 block of University Drive in Vista. The last two occurrences both happened December 24 at the Michael’s on the 1800 block of University Drive in Vista and at a Ralph’s store on the 300 block of Twin Oaks Valley Road in San Marcos.

According to the department, the man approached the victims from behind and grabbed their shoulders as he pressed himself against them. “When the startled women would turn to confront the man, he claims to have confused them for friends,” the department said.

Surveillance video reportedly shows the suspect touching himself beneath his clothing before and after the assaults.

He is described as an Asian man between the ages of 20 and 30 standing roughly five feet, eight inches tall, and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, light-colored face mask, red zippered hoodie, gray t-shirt, gym shorts, and running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call San Diego Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
