SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- People flocked the zoo Monday, the final day to see the pandas, before they leave for China.

Despite the bad weather, 17-year-old Rory Reeb made sure she saw the pandas for a final time, "my mom's like, are you sure you want to go if it's raining? And I'm like, this is the last day, excuse me, and I'm not going to school."

Reeb tells 10News she's loved pandas, "ever since I held one when I was in third grade" on a trip to China.

The San Diego Zoo has been in a conservation and research agreement with China for over two decades. Bai Yun has been at the San Diego zoo since 1996 and went on to mother six panda cubs. Bai Yun was at the panda exhibit with her six year old son, Xia Liwu.

A representative for the zoo tells 10News they will not be giving the exact time for when the pandas are leaving or how they'll be transported to China for safety reasons.
