SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Unlike Black Friday, there did not seem to be a mad rush for San Diegans to get the best deals while shopping on Christmas Eve.
It’s all about crossing off the names on your list, and for some shoppers, they prefer waiting until the last minute.
One last-minute shopper, Jasmine Gallardo, said, “This is my thing, I keep it traditional.”
A new report from the National Retail Federation found around 6 percent of Americans plan on shopping on Christmas Eve. The report shows 13 percent of Americans finished their Christmas shopping this past weekend.
Gallardo added, “I feel like this one’s more mellow because you go out there the last minute so that way people aren’t rushing you.”
And to make things easier, businesses like Kohls extended their hours. They’ve staffed their stores for 24 hours since Friday.
