SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A police pursuit that made its way through different parts of south San Diego ended in a crash and the driver’s arrest.
At around 4 a.m., National City police tried to pull over a Lexus sedan over an expired registration, but the driver did not stop and sped away.
The driver led officers on a nearly 30-minute chase, throwing items out of the window as the he traveled through National City, Valencia Park and Paradise Hills.
After returning to the National City area, the Lexus blew out two tires after driving over a spike strip and crashed at Melrose Street and U Avenue.
The driver was arrested without incident.
Police told 10News there was a felony warrant for his arrest, but no other details were provided.
