OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) -- One man died and another was injured following a crash in Oceanside early Saturday morning.

According to police, the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and College Boulevard.

Police say the driver killed in the crash was traveling south through the intersection on College Boulevard when he was broadsided by the other driver.

When officers arrived at the crash, they found a 30-year-old man unconscious in his vehicle. “Despite life saving measures, the male was declared deceased on scene,” police said.

The driver of the second vehicle, identified only as a 27-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Alcohol does appear to be a factor in the crash, police say.
