OCEANSIDE, Calif. — The man who survived a deadly plane crash in the North County last week has been identified.

Sources confirmed to 10News Luke Hutchison survived the Jan. 28 small plane crash several miles from Oceanside Municipal Airport. Hutchison was seriously injured from the crash and taken to Scripps La Joll Hospital when he was found the next morning.

Investigators believe the single-engine plane took off late that night from Oceanside Municipal Airport before crashing into a nearby hillside off State Route 76 near Canyon Drive shortly after. The wreckage wasn't discovered until the next morning due to fog in the area, police say.
