VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) — A North County student was arrested Friday after a reported school threat.
Administrators at Oak Glen High School in Valley Center learned of a potential threat from a suspended, 15-year-old student at about 8 a.m., San Diego Sheriff's Department said. Deputies did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.
The high school and nearby Valley Center High were placed in a lock down as deputies responded. Deputies identified the student and soon located and arrested the suspect.
SDSO said a search of the student's home was conducted, but no weapons were located.
Both high schools were released from their lock downs just after 9 a.m.
The student has been booked into Juvenile Hall, SDSO said. Their name was not been released.
