SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Rancho Penasquitos man was arrested Saturday after police said he stabbed his neighbor in the stomach as she was unloading groceries in her driveway.

The suspect, a 61-year-old Filipino male, was armed with a kitchen knife when he walked over to his neighbor, a 45-year-old female, and stabbed her in the stomach while she was unloading groceries in her driveway at about 11 a.m., according to San Diego Police.

The suspect then went back to his home. SDPD arrived to find the man in his home, where he was arrested without incident.

Police said the man admitted to stabbing his neighbor and gave no reason for the crime.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with a serious stab wound to her stomach. Police didn't give an update on her condition.
