SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Two North County restaurants are holding fundraisers to benefit the family of Steve and Stephen Pirolli, the father and son who died in a car crash outside Poway High School this month.
Players Sports Bar & Grill and The Hop Stop will hold fundraisers to raise money for expenses that the Pirolli family is now facing. The two fundraisers will take place:
- Feb. 19 - 21 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) at Players Sports Bar & Grill: 33% of all dine-in, takeout, and gift card purchases will go to the family.
- Feb. 22 - 25 (Monday - Thursday) at The Hop Stop: 25% of all sales will be donated to Pirolli family. Customers can also add a flat amount to their checks.
Steve, 54, and Stephen, 14, were leaving baseball practice at Poway High School around 7 p.m. when their vehicle was broadsided by another driver while turning left onto Espola Road.
A GoFundMe has also been set up to help the family with funeral and medical expenses.
