(KGTV) – The wife of former San Diego County-based congressman Duncan Hunter is suing for divorce.
According to court records Margaret Hunter filed for divorce on Nov. 20.
She and her husband pleaded guilty to misappropriating more than $250,000 in campaign funds for personal use.
For her role, Margaret Hunter was sentenced to eight months of home confinement and three years of probation.
Duncan Hunter resigned as the 50th Congressional District’s representative in January and will begin his 11-month prison sentence in 2021.
In November, Darrell Issa was elected to serve as the 50th District congressman.
