SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The popular Kobey's Swap Meet in San Diego’s Midway District is reopening its doors this weekend for the first time since it shut down in late March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The swap meet will be open Friday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. The same hours will apply on Saturday and Sunday.

Roughly 100 vendors are expected on Friday, and at least 250 or so are expected over the weekend.

With the reopening, all San Diego County health guidelines will apply, including mandatory facial coverings and 6 feet social distancing rules. The vendor booths will also be spaced further apart.

Kobey's is cash only, but vendors have been advised to limit contact as much as possible.

Anthony Pretto, vice president of operations for Kobey’s, told 10News the staff will be winding up and down the isles to patrol for social distancing, but also to offer hand sanitizer to their customers.

Common areas like ATM machines and restrooms will be disinfected regularly.
