SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A man trying to sell iPhones at a Mission Valley apartment complex was carjacked by the potential buyer early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at around 12:45 a.m. at the Del Rio Apartments in the 2200 block of Fenton Parkway, San Diego police said.

The victim told police he advertised three iPhones on Craigslist recently and arranged a meetup with a buyer at the apartment complex.

However, when the seller drove up, two men armed with guns ordered him and his dog to get out of the car.

The two men took the victim’s phones, and one of the men sped away in his 2008 BMW 328i with Oklahoma license plate HUP049, followed by a second car.

The seller and his dog were not hurt.
