CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – A driver was arrested Sunday night after police said he led officers on a chase that ended in a crash in Chula Vista.
According to Chula Vista police, at around 7 p.m., officers spotted a car involved in another pursuit in National City from two nights earlier and attempted to pull the vehicle over.
However, the driver sped away, leading a chase that reached speeds of over 100 mph.
Moments later, the car crashed on the Main Street offramp from Interstate 5.
The driver was arrested and was taken to the hospital to be examined for unspecified injuries.
Four other young men were detained, police said.
