High-rise building floods in downtown San Diego

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A suspect was taken into custody after police say they intentionally flooded a downtown high rise late Saturday night.

According to San Diego Police, the incident happened around 10 p.m. on Kettner Boulevard and Broadway.

Police say someone intentionally turned the water on from the roof, flooding the entire building.

A portion of Kettner was also closed as crews cleaned up water that flooded onto the street below the building.

Police took someone into custody. They say the suspect may have some mental health issues.
