LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) - A fight during a party at a La Jolla mansion early Friday morning led to gunfire and a heavy police response.
San Diego police received reports of shots fired at a home in the 9600 block of Blackgold Road shortly after 4:30 a.m.
10News learned a party was in progress at the Airbnb rental when a physical altercation broke out. The situation escalated, and at least one shot was fired, according to police.
Numerous partygoers fled the scene as officers arrived, with some placed in handcuffs and detained for questioning. Police told 10News all who were detained were released and no arrests were made.
Police recovered at least one shell casing linked to the shooting during their search for evidence.
No injuries were reported.
According to an Airbnb listing, the home's s value was listed at between $12 million-$15 million. The cost to rent the house was $945 per day, with one no parties allowed being one of the conditions listed. Hours after the shooting, the mansion was rented out once again. Airbnb told 10News they received no notice there had been a shooting at the residence.
The new vacationers say there was no sign that there had been a shooting by Friday evening when they checked into the home.
The previous guests that booked the mansion has been suspended from the platform.
