(KGTV) -- Not only is Halloween on a Saturday this year (cause enough for celebration), but skywatchers are in for another treat: a “Blue Moon.”

NASA says a Blue Moon is a term used for the second of two full moons that occur in the same month. The first event, a Harvest Moon, happened on October 1.

What makes this particular event so rare is the fact that it’s happening on Halloween.
