CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — Firefighters put out a 28 acre brush fire that ignited near Lower Otay Lake.
Cal Fire confirmed on Sunday that the fire is 100 percent contained and all resources have been taken off the incident.
The vegetation fire, dubbed the Otay Fire, was reported by Cal Fire at about 10 a.m. on Saturday near the east side of the lake.
Both air and ground resources were used to battle back the flames, according to Cal Fire.
No structures were threatened by the fire.
