SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A home in San Diego’s Azalea-Hollywood Park neighborhood that was believed to have been abandoned was destroyed by a fire late Sunday night.
The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. in the 4000 block of Manzanita Drive, just east of Interstate 15 and near Manzanita Canyon, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue officials.
Firefighters arrived to find the home, believed to have been abandoned, fully engulfed. It took crews about 30 minutes to knock down the flames.
Arson investigators were called to the scene to look into the cause of the blaze, and a police official at the scene believed squatters may have sparked the fire.
No injuries were reported.
