SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An elderly man who witnesses say appeared to be struggling with his umbrella was struck by a trolley train in Mission Valley late Sunday night.
The incident happened near the Hazard Center station in the 7600 block of Hazard Center Drive, according to San Diego police.
Witnesses said the man was walking along the path of trolley tracks and was trying to adjust his umbrella in the windy and rainy conditions when he was hit by an eastbound train.
Police said the man was knocked down and suffered a head injury.
The man's condition remains unknown.
