SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - For the fourth time in three years, the Conceptions Children's Resale store in Santee is cleaning up after a break-in.
"I was, unfortunately, not shocked," said store owner Savannah Taff. "But, at the same time, this is the fourth time in three years and I'm thinking you've got to be kidding me."
Early Thursday morning, someone used a rock to smash the front door of the store on 9470 Cuyamaca Street. Security footage shows the person taking the money drawer out of the cash register, then rummaging through the area under the counter.
The person also went through the back storage room.
Taff said she's given all the surveillance footage to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. She's hopeful that there's enough of it from 12 new cameras she had installed since the last burglary.
In all, the crook only got away with about $50 cash and didn't steal any merchandise. While the loss is minimal, it's the feeling of having to deal with another break-in that bothers Taff.
"It's definitely uncomfortable," she said.
