BORREGO (CNS) - A mild earthquake rattled the arid eastern reaches of San Diego County Wednesday.

The 3.5-magnitude temblor struck just before 2 p.m., centered about four miles southwest of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Representatives of Cal Fire and the county Sheriff's Department said their agencies had received no calls reporting any problems related to the quake.
