LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) -- Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating an altercation between neighbors in Lakeside that led to a man’s stabbing death.
San Diego County sheriff’s officials said deputies were called to the 8200 block of Jema Way at around 12:35 a.m. Friday in response to a reported stabbing.
According to sheriff’s officials, a man was reportedly stabbed during a fight with neighbors. Julia Gonzalez, 23, was arrested for the murder.
Gonzalez will be booked into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility, according to the department.
The injured man, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital but died from his wounds.
Detectives with the sheriff’s Homicide Unit are looking into the circumstances that led to the fight and stabbing.
Officials noted that deputies “contacted multiple people involved in the fight” and “no suspects are believed to be outstanding.”
Due to the investigation, an area off the 8200 block of Jema Way was blocked off and expected to remain closed until Friday afternoon.
